Battery performance
The Fenix 8 51mm Solar Sapphire is built for long outdoor sessions, endurance training, ultra-distance events, and everyday smartwatch use, with solar charging support helping to extend battery life when exposed to sunlight. The larger 51mm case offers some of the strongest battery performance in the Fenix 8 range.
Battery performance is assessed using a standard GPS activity test. The GPS Activity Duration option shows what type of GPS activities this specific watch is best suited for on a single charge.
Note: GPS activity duration refers to active GPS tracking only. Normal smartwatch use lasts much longer depending on settings and features used. Solar charging performance depends on light exposure, GPS mode, sensors, mapping, music use, and display settings.
